An inclusive community can lift writers up and embolden them to speak their truth. In turn, once unleashed, the writer’s truth can confront our world, reckon with it, and ultimately enlarge it. In this way, the written word is more than an act of self-expression; it is the first step in the march towards a better world. In this way, Bronx Loaf is more than a weeklong workshop for teen writers; it is a gathering of seekers eager to launch their personal crusades for truth and beauty.
